HEL LOOKS is selected street fashion from Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The pictures are taken in the streets and clubs of Helsinki from July 2005 onwards.
HEL LOOKS is a hobby project of Liisa Jokinen and Sampo Karjalainen. The project is a tribute to Fruits and Street magazines, the pioneers of street fashion photography.

So...
I. I think very oftenI'll never grow old.
II. I cry at least once weekly... missing my father
III. I think that I' m selfish because I do not want to have children of my own.
IV. I have serious problems dealing with change. I don' t tolerate it and it bothers me. Most times changes causes me dizinesses, nauseas and even vomiting. And somethings I even drink alcohol to see if those problems go away. :)
V. I pray much more often ... and much more often for others than for myself
VI. I feel sorry for so many people ... and I think I' m stupid doing it so! Sometimes I wish I was more of a selfish bitch, not caring with other people's lives.
VII. Sometimes i do feel I have to make an effort to have a nice appearance because my sister is so beautifull and I don ' t want to be the ugly one.
VIII. I never take away the cloth after meals when I invite someone to have dinner. I simply believe that by doing that I'm telling positive spirits they're welcome to stay.
IX.I'm so sorry that i only have found some people now in my life...

These works place Fairy Tale characters in modern day scenarios. In all of the images the Princess is placed in an environment that articulates her conflict. The '...happily ever after' is replaced with a realistic outcome and addresses current issues.
